The British city of Luton became the musical epicenter of last weekend thanks to the electrifying performance of Coldplay at the 'Radio 1's Big Weekend'. This event, which has already become a staple in the festival calendar, outdid itself with a night full of emotions, where the British band shone brightly.

The audience, with their hearts in their throats and luminous wristbands on their arms, enjoyed a magical evening. Coldplay delivered a repertoire that included their most iconic hits like 'Yellow', 'Viva La Vida', and 'Clocks', making thousands of attendees vibrate with euphoria, nostalgia, and emotion in equal measure. The show culminated in a dazzling display of fireworks, putting a golden finishing touch to an unforgettable night.

The festival featured other standout artists such as Teddy Swims, Raye, and the talented Sabrina Carpenter. However, the most anticipated and talked-about moment of the night was the collaboration between Coldplay and Carpenter. Together they performed a deeply emotional version of 'Magic', the ballad from the album 'Ghost Stories'. Sabrina Carpenter's hypnotic voice blended perfectly with the melody, creating a magical atmosphere that left the audience in awe.

At the end of the performance, Chris Martin turned to Sabrina Carpenter and dedicated some heartfelt words to her: "Your lyrics are incredible and so are you." A visibly emotional and shocked Sabrina responded: "I love Coldplay. What is happening? What the heck?"

This duet was foreshadowed by a subtle hint during the performance of 'Fix You'. Amid the instrumental, Chris Martin sang a line from Sabrina's latest hit, 'Espresso', leaving fans speculating about a possible collaboration, which was later confirmed that night.

But Coldplay didn't stop there. Chris Martin surprised the audience by revealing a new song titled 'Orange', composed the night before in honor of the local football team, Luton Town FC. This song adds to their extensive repertoire, once again demonstrating the band's ability to connect with the audience through their music.

The 'setlist' of the concert at the 'Radio 1's Big Weekend' included:

  1. 'Higher Power'
  2. 'Paradise'
  3. 'Viva la Vida'
  4. 'Hymn for the Weekend'
  5. 'Clocks'
  6. 'Fix You'
  7. 'People of the Pride'
  8. 'Something Just Like This'
  9. 'Magic'
  10. 'Yellow'
  11. 'A Sky Full of Stars'
  12. 'Orange'

The next stop for Coldplay will be the prestigious Glastonbury, where they will share the stage with artists like Dua Lipa. Fans are eager for what promises to be another memorable performance.

Meanwhile, the band continues to prepare for their next major project, 'Moon Music', which will follow in the footsteps of the successful 'Music Of The Spheres' released in 2021. Coldplay has left intriguing clues about this new era, such as changes to their social media and the incorporation of images of the Moon phases into their instruments and videos. They have also announced the creation of a broadcast channel on Instagram to keep their fans updated with exclusive news and updates.

In recent weeks, the most attentive followers have noticed small moons hidden in the backgrounds of their songs on digital platforms, sparking speculation about the imminent announcement of 'Moon Music'. "If Coldplay intends to announce 'Moon Music' through their own broadcast channel, it could be because the next album will be intimate and dedicated to their fans," they comment on social media.

With three albums still to be released before their announced hiatus in 2025, the anticipation for what is to come continues to grow. Coldplay, a band that has managed to reinvent themselves and maintain their relevance over the years, promises to keep surprising and thrilling their audience until the last chord.
